Youth Job Connection (YJC) serves youth aged 15 – 29 who experience multiple or complex barriers to employment. The program provides more intensive support beyond traditional job search and placement opportunities.

YWCA Toronto helps women find jobs by providing them with free or low-cost employment and training programs, specialized workshops and one-on-one career support. Please call before going in.

Tropicana offers culturally aware and supportive programs including but not limited to counselling, settlement services, childcare, education, personal development, and employment services, with a predominant focus on the Caribbean, Black and African communities of Toronto.

The Employment Insurance (EI) program provides temporary income support to unemployed workers while they look for employment or to upgrade their skills. The EI program also provides special benefits to workers who take time off work due to specific life events, i.e., illness, pregnancy, caring for a newborn or newly adopted child, caring for a critically ill or injured person, or caring for a family member who is seriously ill with a significant risk of death.

At this YMCA location, we help job seekers find work. We provide resources, employment services and personalized advice to help people assess their skills and experience. Our qualified staff can help you find work or start on the path to skills training. We also help employers hire people with the skills they need.

Youth Employment Services offers a job board, help with resumes and cover letters, as well as online job training.

Through our Youth Works program, Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada partners with agencies across the country to provide pre-employment supports to youth in and from government care. Youth Works is supported by RBC Future Launch and funded in part by the Government of Canada under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program.

Formed to help promising entrepreneurs with viable business plans gain access to financing not available through other sources.

The Children’s Aid Foundation offers six online courses on budgeting, banking and financial services, saving, credit basics, debt, debt repayment & creditors to youth under the age of 30 who are current or former Crown Wards or youth eligibile for Continued Care and Support for Youth.
