Parenting Support

Rosalie Hall is an accredited client-centred infant and early childhood mental health organization which supports pregnant and parenting adolescents, aged 12-25, their children, and their families. Rosalie Hall provides outreach, youth engagement, counselling and care and treatment services for children and youth with comprehensive supports for young parents and their children.

The June Callwood Centre for Young Women is a drop-in multi-service resource centre dedicated to supporting pregnant and parenting individuals who are 21 years old or under at intake. Our centre provides services to these young women and their children until they reach the age of 24.

Our Early Years support includes EarlyON Child and Family Centres, Child Care, Before- and After-School Programs and Kindergarten. Together, these programs provide a number of ways to enhance your child’s educational experience.

Toronto Public Health offers free breastfeeding support through telephone and face to face contact, breastfeeding clinics and support groups. A Public Health Nurse can respond to your breastfeeding questions and concerns. Breastfeeding clinics offer individual consultations by health care professionals. At the clinic, families can have their baby weighed and their breastfeeding concerns addressed.

Family Service Toronto (FST) helps people who are confronted with a variety of life challenges. They assist individuals and families through our counselling, community engagement and public education programs, and advocacy work.

Abiona Centre is a client-centered infant and early childhood mental health organization which supports pregnant and parenting adolescents, aged 13-25 and their babies who reside at the Centre or in the community.

Access for Parents and Children in Ontario (APCO) supervises visits by non-custodial parents (or other relatives) and supervises drop-offs and pick-ups for caregivers and children.

Yorktown offers free parenting classes for all parent ages. Yorktown often provides childcare during these parenting classes. One of their parenting classes is called Parenting Wisely parenting Group which is for parents of children 7 years and older. Yorktown also offers parenting classes for under age 7 and offers a program for parents and teenagers- supporting this relationship.

VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that offers 24/7 health care and support services to people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

The Parent Relief program allows Women’s Habitat clients to leave their children for four hours with a qualified child minder at the Outreach Centre while they do errands, go to an appointment, or take a much-needed break. The Respite Care program offers 24-hour care for the children (up to 12 years of age) of women experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic violence.
